Blue Spruce Trees
Colorado
Blue spruce, Pyramidal shaped evergreen with steel blue to blue-green
needles. Used as a lawn specimen because it grows in a perfect triangle
shape for its whole life. It will not get thin or loose lower
branches if planted in full sun. Makes a great screen. They
grow 30 to 60 feet at maturity, and prefer moist fertile soil.
They require no trimming but you can trim them when young if you
want them to thicken. Zones 2-7
Right: Natural (never sheared) Colorado Blue Spruce tree.
Below: Sheared or trimmed Colorado Blue Spruce tree.
