Red
Pine Trees
Red
Pine also referred to as Norway Pine. Dark green, long thick needled
tree that is very fast growing. Red pines do well in light, sandy
poor soil and in sunny dry locations after the first year of planting
and they have caught on. Red pines have a single tap root, so
they are harder to get to catch on than a white pine, especially for
the first year. They must be babied for first year. Used
often for windbreaks and around rustic houses and cabins. They look
great mixed in with the softer and lighter White pines. Red Pines
look bolder and stand out darker with a stronger look.
They can grow in zones 2-6 and like it colder than white pines. Red Pines
are $59.99 for 8 foot trees!
